Planned Programs
NCFTA will be committed to providing and maintaining a cooperative environment
for quality learning and service as it offers:
Advanced Training and Degree Certification Programs
Advanced training will focus on digital evidence handling and forensics best practices,
as well as preferred proactive response options, which are critical in abating criminal
conduct of this nature.
A natural outgrowth of NCFTA-sponsored training programs will be to link its research
and investigation techniques to graduate degree programs for cyber security and forensics
for businesses and enforcement professionals.
Cyber Forensics Assistance
In advancing this key component, this alliance will enlist the support of available FBI
resources and expertise from headquarters based entities, including Criminal, Cyber,
Laboratory and Training Divisions, and will serve as the catalyst for joint law enforcement
participation.
Investigative Best Practices
Advancing what was initiated with the Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC), NCFTA will
establish an unparalleled pool of critical data, combining complaint information from the
IFCC with that data already being compiled by the CERT/CMU. Using this constantly updated
global intelligence pool, critical response strategies will be developed, and exported
through advanced training curriculum.
NCFTA's data storehouse of best practices and research will draw key high-tech and
critical infrastructure members to the alliance, further expanding its reach and information
sharing capabilities.
Case Management
By creating direct cooperative links among investigations, intelligence, research, education,
training, and technical assistance, this program creates a unique environment to quickly
identify emerging problems, design solutions, and distribute assistance throughout the
United States.
